WomenHeart, the National Association for Women with Heart Disease, maintains a nationwide network of dozens of support groups for women with heart disease and their loved ones. In order to help their members find local support networks through the WomenHeart Web site, they contracted Digital Division to create an interactive, Flash-based map.
Now WomenHeart members can find support groups by simply clicking their location. It's easy to see which states have support networks, because they are highlighted in red, and the location of each support network is marked with a pin. This user-friendly map will help members quickly and easily find support groups near them, whether in their own state or a neighboring state.
This interactive map is linked into WomenHeart's support network contact forms, so that clicking a support group on the map puts members quickly in touch with that support group's coordinator.
WomenHeart staff can update the map effortlessly by simply adding, removing, and revising support groups through the easy-to-use administrative interface that Digital Division created. A support group's location is mapped automatically by its city and state, so the map is always up-to-date without the help of a Web designer.
